Set in the centre of the village, within a Conservation Area, this site was locally sensitive, and the practice was appointed following a difficult and unsuccessful planning history. We developed a scheme in close consultation with the Conservation officer and secured consent for 7 houses arranged to reflect a traditional rural farmstead. The houses are all approached through an attractive landscaped courtyard: views of the development from the adjoining lane have minimised its impact on the local rural character.
