The new teaching building for Dove House School has recently been completed

The newly completed building provides special educational needs facilities for the teaching of Maths, LSB, Food Technology, Textiles, Resistant Materials, and Performing Arts. It was realised through a £2.1 million grant from the Education & Skills Funding Agency to fully fund the project. The school comprises a main permanent building accommodating specialist teaching accommodation with support areas comprising an ‘Air Dome’ tensile structure sports facility, three recently developed modular buildings, and five blocks of single storey ‘Portakabin style’ temporary buildings containing nine classrooms. Richmond Fellowship’s supported housing scheme in Abingdon is now complete

Richmond Fellowship is a registered charity and specialist provider of mental health services.  It provides supported housing schemes which comprise shared accommodation where people have their own private rooms but share kitchens and living rooms. This creates a community spirit that can help people develop their independent living and social skills in a safe environment. It is available to adults aged over 18, who are experiencing a mental health problem and have a need for housing related support. Macallan Penfold were appointed as Architects for the refurbishment of the premises at 35 - 37 Oxford Road Abingdon, a pair of semi-detached residential properties dating from 1874 [...]

St Hugh’s building at Holy Cross Hospital, Haslemere, honoured at the Waverley Design Awards 2019

We are delighted to have received a Commendation in the Education Buildings category at the Waverley Design Awards on 14th March for the design of the St Hugh’s building at Holy Cross Hospital, Haslemere. The new building has significantly improved the available training and study facilities for the specialist care that the hospital provides for those with severe and complex neurological disabilities, and provides administration offices that have brought support services staff together, freeing-up valuable space within the main hospital buildings for primary care functions. Christmas Tree Festival, St Lawrence Church, Alton

Macallan Penfold were delighted to be involved with the Christmas Tree Festival at a local church, St Lawrence in Alton, over the weekend of 8th and 9th December 2018. Every year St Lawrence Church invites local companies and organisations to display a Christmas tree in the church and make a donation to its chosen charities. This year's Christmas Tree Festival has so far raised well over £1,000, which will be used to support the Christians Against Poverty and the Alzheimer Society charities.
